- MYB is in discussion with the Mosinee School District about the Babe Ruth program. Don't worry, there will be a program, we are just discussing the logistics of it. MYB will reach out when the path forward is finalized.
League Overview
MYB City League consists of four levels: Rookie, Minor, Junior, and Senior. These levels were built to foster the love of playing baseball with friends and family. Each level is set by grade/age group and has its own set of rules. Each set of rules were carefully determined to start with fun and add in a different competitive element; eventually making it to Mosinee School level baseball.
Season
- ALL games take place on the MYB fields and last ~1.25 hours.
- EVERYONE who signs up plays.
- A typical season starts the end of April and goes until the end of June.
- For Minor, Junior, and Senior levels, there is a tournament week to end the season.
- Season record does NOT affect the tournament seeding.
- After the tournament week, EVERYONE is invited to attend the Family Fun Day event where there are the awards and various activities to enjoy as a family.

Included with registration:
- Player jersey
- Baseball cap
Available to borrow at games:
- Batting helmet
- Catcher's gear
Additional spectator attire available for purchase at the beginning of the season.
Extra Costs
There is a concession stand at the fields that will be open for hot food, snacks, and drinks.
Volunteer Hours
MYB requires volunteer hours to keep our fields clean and operational, and to keep our concession stands open. Other non-typical opportunities may arise to fulfill any required hours.
There is a buyout option for volunteer hours if desired.
Raffle
MYB hosts a raffle to help fund the organization. The raffle winners are randomly chosen during the Family Fun Day event at the end of the season.
Rookie
This level is meant to introduce players to the fun of baseball!
- Players are pre-Kindergarten / Kindergarten.
- 5-6 years old.
- Games are Tuesdays and Thursdays.
- 5:15 pm.
- Coach pitch and/or t-ball.
- Outs and scoring are not recorded.
- Snacks are provided by coaches/parents after games.
- NO tournament week, but please come to the Family Fun Day to celebrate a successful season!
Minor
This level is meant to develop the basic skills of baseball and introduce competitive play.
- Players are 1st / 2nd grade.
- 7-8 years old.
- Games are Tuesdays and Thursdays.
- 5:15 pm or 6:45pm.
- Machine pitch.
- Outs and scoring are recorded.
- End of season tournament with awards at the Family Fun Day event!
Junior
This level is meant to develop the basic skills of baseball while introducing a few new challenges.
- Players are 3rd / 4th grade.
- 9-10 years old.
- Games are Mondays and Wednesdays.
- 5:15 pm or 6:45pm.
- Player pitch 46 feet / bases 60 feet apart.
- Stealing bases is introduced with no leading off.
- Outs and scoring are recorded.
- End of season tournament with awards at the Family Fun Day event!
Senior
This level is meant to refine player's skills as they advance to higher level baseball play.
- Players are 5th / 6th grade.
- 11-12 years old.
- Games are Mondays and Wednesdays.
- 6:45 pm or 8:15pm.
- Player pitch 50 feet / bases 70 feet apart.
- Stealing bases is allowed with leading off.
- Outs and scoring are recorded.
- End of season tournament with awards at the Family Fun Day event!
Frequently Asked Questions
If there is an issue at the field, who can I contact for assistance?
MYB will have at least one board member at the fields at all times. They can typically be found near the concession stands or walking around between fields.
Where do I go for help if my child has a minor injury?
MYB has ice packs and a medical aid kit in the concession stand.
Can coaches schedule additional practices outside of the MYB schedule?
Yes, coaches can schedule additional practices outside of MYB's scheduled games and practices. If you child cannot make these extra practices, coaches cannot negatively impact your child's playtime.
2025 Season
The MYB 2025 City League season will take place starting in late April and end the last week of June. Registration will open in the spring of 2025.
