Volunteer/DIBS

Mosinee Youth Baseball is an all-volunteer not for profit organization that fully depends on its members to contribute time, effort and resources necessary to provide high quality Baseball Programming at all age levels. The time, talent and energy that each family contributes to Mosinee Youth Baseball offsets the cost of playing Baseball. The goal of the volunteer policy is to distribute the enormous workload amongst all families.

The involvement of our Mosinee Youth Baseball families is what makes us a successful organization and provides the opportunity for development of Baseball skills and life skills for our Players.

WAYS TO FULFILL DIBs

Concessions:

Opening Shift - Arrive at concession stand by 4:30 PM, check bathrooms, follow opening checklist - one the openers goes to Pit Stop to pickup pizzas

Close Shift - Run concession stand - shift may end after 9:30 PM, clean and close bathrooms, follow close checklist

Weekend Cleaning Tasks:

Garbage Patrol - Over weekend (Fri-Sun) participant will empty all trash receptacles into dumpster and return receptacles to original location. 

Spring/Fall Clean-Up:

Prior to & After the MYB Season, a day will be set aside to clean-up and prepare or close the Fields for the Season. DIBs credit can be earned for participation.

Head Coach: DIBs Credit given for all your children who play

Assistant Coach: DIBs Credit given for child/team you are assisting

Become a Sponsor: There are many opportunities to become a Sponsor. From sponsoring City or travel League Teams, or purchasing a Sponsorship Package. Contact Brian Zell for more details.

Miscellaneous - There may be times through out the year where the MYB Board may determine there's a Special need that will result in DIBs Credit being given for participation.

DIBS Buy Out

If do not want to fulfill your volunteer hours there is also a buyout option. You must buy out all of your required dibs at the cost of $40 / hour.

NO-SHOW PROCEDURE

1) Attempt to contact the individual responsible for concession stand duty. Occasionally they are running late or may have forgotten. Check concession stand schedule for assigned workers.

2) If you have to ask a replacement worker or family member to assist you, leave a note in the Sign in Manual documenting the name, time, and circumstances.

FINES FOR NO-SHOWS

1. First offense - $60.00

2. Second offense - $120.00

3. Third offense - $180.00

Individuals will be contacted via email following the missed DIBS. Fines must be paid and the missed shift rescheduled within 10 days of the missed shift. If not paid by this time the coaches will be notified to withhold any further Practice/Playing time until the fine is paid.

These requirements are subject to change and will be reviewed annually by MYB Board.

If for any reason, DIBS are not completed in the current season, the remaining balance will be carried over into the next season. This includes fines not paid in prior season and may lead to your player(s) being unable to practice or play games until paid.

Travel League DIBS can only be fulfilled by helping out at MYB's home travel tournaments (Battle for the Bling). These DIBS are handled another way outside of Crossbar at this time and will be available to sign up closer to the tournament date(s).
